GREIFENBURG, a sleepy alpine village, lies at 620m AMSL at the easterly end of the World Famous Drautal, in the state of Kärnten, Austria.

To the North lies the Mölltal and behind it the Main Alpine Divide, separating not only nations but air masses.

It’s this range that affords the Southside refuge, from weather that forced us to abandon the Northside well over a decade ago.

WORLD FAMOUS as an XC Mecca & for good reason. With more kilometres flown here than anywhere else in Austria.

The flying here is most definitely Alpine in feel and look. With many ridges going off in all directions the potential for long-haul XC flights is amongst some of the biggest in the Alps.

Cross-countrty flights here are limited only by imagination and a pilot's stamina.

WIDE OPEN valleys, rocky spines & granite peaks dotted with high emerald Glacial lakes are some of the PANORAMAS that will immerse your senses.

Views from Slovenia to Italy, high terrain of the Dolomites to the Main Ridge of the ALPS dominate the horizon.

Flying XC in this ALPINE arena is easily some of the biggest EYE CANDY a paraglider pilot can aspire to.
