    BASSANO DEL GRAPPA finds itself in the foothills of the Southern Alps, only 50km North of Venice or Treviso airports.

    Our BASE, the Garden Relais, is just 12 short minutes to launch, in our air conditioned van.

    The climate yields both olives AND cheese, the PERFECT mix without the harsh terrain south of the Pyrenees.

  • THE FLYING

    Flying here is a heady mix of both MOUNTAIN and FLATLANDs. With winds usually light enough to complete circuit routes, landing home each day.

    The flying season kicks off relatively early, with 100+km flights stashed already in March.

    Though we start around June to ensure warmer, longer days and optimal conditions for the longer routes attempted.

  • Flying in the Feltre valley.

    PURE RELIABILITY

    Due to Bassano's location & it’s unique microclimate it is possibly one of the most flyable areas in Europe.

    It’s why we relocated here, compared to the Northern Alps it’s hit rate is incomparable.

    The mountains here are relatively low but huge mountains behind protect the site from strong north-winds that 'blow-out' sites further North.
